Important Update: How Standing Orders and Scheduled Payments Appear on Your Account
Dear Valued Member,
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the management and processing of scheduled transactions, an exercise was conducted to enhance our banking system on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Among the enhancements you will experience as a result is a change in how standing orders and scheduled payments appear on your account. All standing orders and scheduled payments will automatically be reflected alongside your available balance on the scheduled payment date. This means that your available balance will more accurately indicate the funds available in your account for other transactions after the payments due have been deducted.
How It Works
Example 1: Sufficient Funds Available
J$100,000.00
J$50,000.00
J$50,000.00
Example 2: Insufficient Funds Available
J$30,000.00
J$50,000.00
-J$20,000.00
Important Reminder: Please be reminded that under the Terms and Conditions governing standing orders and loan repayment arrangements, sufficient funds should be maintained in membersโ accounts to cover scheduled payments. In many cases, these arrangements require members to maintain funds equivalent to at least two monthly payments, helping to ensure payments are made on time, and accounts remain in good standing.
This enhancement does not introduce a new fee or payment obligation. Rather, it provides greater visibility of scheduled commitments and assists members in managing their accounts more effectively.
