JN Bank HWT Opens Saturdays; Extends Weekday Operations

Wed 30 Aug, 2017

JN Bank will commence Saturday banking and extended opening hours from its Half-Way-Tree branch, at its Chief Office in the busy St Andrew urban centre, starting this weekend, September 2.

The branch will now open from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, Mondays to Thursdays; 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on Fridays; and on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The move forms part of JN Bank’s effort to provide more options to its growing member base, which has risen since the launch of the commercial bank on February 1 of this year.

Managing Director, Maureen Hayden-Cater, says the core of the bank’s service strategy is centred on providing convenience for its members.

“We promised and we are delivering as we revolutionise commercial banking in Jamaica,” she declared.

“Although our members are becoming more sophisticated in theuse of our electronic platforms, such as JN LIVE and our smart ATMs, to do their basic banking transactions, there are still other services that require a face-to-face consultation,” she underlined.

“Customers also deserve more choice regarding when they do their banking. Therefore, providing services on a Saturday, when some people have the time to do their banking is an important convenience we want to provide our members."

JN Bank has consistently offered Saturday banking through some small branches, such as Portmore Pines and the Market Street location in Montego Bay, St James; as well as, through its tenMoneyShops in under banked communities across the country, as part of its commitment to provideeasier access to banking services.

Mrs Hayden-Cater said the move to extend business hours to Saturdays at Half-Way-Tree is the next phase in the process to offer Saturday banking at its branchlocations across the country.

Janice RobinsonLongmore, Chief, Operations at JN Bank, said all banking services will be available to members and customers on Saturdays.

“The Half-Way-Tree branch will be adequately staffed to handle all banking related products and services, including credit related products, such as loans and credit cards,” she advised. “Therefore, members and customers will be able to access any service they would normally use at JN Bank, on a Saturday."
