JN Bank will host its inaugural Home Ownership Made Possible Forum in two Canadian cities this summer, as it strives to provide members of the Jamaican and Caribbean Diaspora with increased information on real estate investment opportunities available in Jamaica.

The two-day event will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Ajax/Toronto on Friday, July 26, at 6:00 p.m. and at the Century Gardens Recreation Centre in Brampton on Saturday, July 27, from 7:00 p.m.

The event will feature a diverse group of exhibitors, including subsidiaries of The Jamaica National Group, government agencies and real estate affiliates.

Patrons will be provided with relevant information about:

  • How to manoeuvre the mortgage application process
  • Special mortgage offers from JN Bank
  • Current housing developments under construction in Jamaica
  • The financial outlook of Jamaica and its Real Estate Sector

Persons will also benefit from services offered by the:

  • Registrar General’s Department (RGD)
  • Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ)
  • Realtor’s Association of Jamaica (RAJ)
  • Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE)
  • Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA)

An interactive session will also be facilitated to give patrons the opportunity to have their most pertinent questions answered by real estate experts and JN Bank representatives.

Emile Spence, Chief Representative Officer, JN Bank Canada Representative Office, said that the JN Group saw this as an opportune time to reach out to members of the Diaspora who are interested in real estate and investment opportunities in Jamaica.

“As the leading mortgage provider in Jamaica, I believe we have an obligation to connect with members of the Jamaican and Caribbean community living in Canada to ensure that their financial needs are being met,” Mr Spence said.

The Jamaica National Group has continued to be innovative in providing its members with access to financial products and services to achieve their potential.

“We have expanded our range of options to finance home and property purchases, and importantly, we have also significantly contracted the time it normally takes to receive mortgage financing,” he said.

In addition to mortgages, persons will also receive information about the various savings and investment solutions offered by JN Bank.

It is anticipated that close to 200 persons will attend the forum each day.
