1. Promotion Account Opening Period

A Promotion Account must be opened within the promotional period to qualify
for the JN Bank Double Up Yuh Savings Promotion. The Account Opening period
is July 28, 2023 to July 31, 2024, both dates inclusive.

2. Account Opening Details

To enter:
a) Participants MUST open a JN Bank High Yield Contractual Savings Account
product (Promotion Accounts) offered by JN Bank for a minimum savings tenure
of twelve (12) months hereinafter referred to as “savings tenure” or “account
tenure”.

b) The account must be opened with a minimum deposit of Twenty- Five Thousand
Jamaican Dollars (J$25,000.00) during the Promotion Account Opening Period.

3. Monthly Pledge Payments

a) After the account opening, deposits of a specified amount, agreed to in writing,
“Pledge Amount” must be made on or before the last day of each month to the
Promotion Account.

b) The first monthly Pledge Amount should be deposited before or on the 30-day
mark from when the account was established and all subsequent Pledge
Amounts should be deposited by the last day of each month.

c) Participants MUST save a minimum Pledge Amount of Twenty-Five Thousand
(J$25,000.00) monthly for the duration of the Promotion Period or account
tenure, as applicable.

d) The opening Twenty-Five Thousand Jamaican Dollars (J$25,000.00) will
represent the “Initial Deposit” and eleven (11) additional monthly deposits of
Twenty-Five Thousand Jamaican Dollars (J$25,000.00) must be deposited on or
before the last day of each month for the duration of the Promotion or account
tenure which will represent the “Pledge Amount”.

Local Applicants (Residents):

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Valid photo identification
  • Fully Completed CIF for all applicants
  • Proof of Residential Address (recent utility bill, bank statement, other official mail, property tax receipt, lease agreement or rent receipt (rent receipts should indicate clearly the address of the property))
  • Proof of Employment (letter from employer, recent pay slip)
  • Current & Valid Identification
  • Tax payer Registration Number (TRN) OR Jamaican Driver’s licence bearing this number
  • Name & Telephone Contact of 2 Character References
  • Completed Account Signature Card
  • Completed Self Employment Verification Form
  • Completed Self Certification Form (Individual)
  • Source of funds/ Proof of income

* If a child below 16 years is to be added to this account, the child’s Birth Certificate is required.

Overseas Applicants (Non-Residents):

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Valid photo identification
  • Fully Completed CIF for all applicants
  • 2 Proof of Residential Address (Notarized copy of recent utility bill or bank statement)
  • Proof of Employment (letter from employer, recent pay slip)
  • 2 Current & Valid Identifications duly notarized. (For Non-Jamaicans, at least one (1) ID must be a passport or permanent resident card)
  • 2 Completed Character Reference Form (Non-Jamaicans need at least 1 referral from a reputable financial institution)
  • Notarized copy of Birth Certificate for Minors and Non-Jamaicans
  • Notarized copy of your Tax Number
  • Completed Account Signature Card
  • Letter detailing instructions to JN Bank to establish new account and any additional instructions. (Include your choice of savings and reason for opening account in Jamaica in letter)
  • Completed Self Employment Verification Form
  • Completed Self Certification Form (Individual)
  • Source of funds/ Proof of income

If the original documents are presented to the UK Rep Office, do not need to be notarized.

Yes. The interest on your savings is subject to a withholding tax of 25%.

Can I borrow against funds in my JN High Yield account to access a loan from JN Bank?

Yes you can. You may use the savings in your account to secure a Term Share Loan from JN Bank. You can borrow up to 80% of what you have saved.

Can I open my JN High Yield account at a JN MoneyShop?

Yes, you may visit any JN MoneyShop to open your account. Visit our ATM/ Branch Locator page to find your closest JN MoneyShop or branch and opening hours.

What benefits do I have access to from the JN Group when I open a JN High Yield account?

Yes, you can access a wide range of discounts at other companies in the JN Group, such as the Jamaica Automobile Association and JN General Insurance Company; and, you can use your JN ATM card to access discounts from several merchants who are a part of the JN Rewards programme.

Is the account available to persons who reside outside of Jamaica?

Yes. Residents in the diaspora who want to open a JN High Yield Account can access same through the nearest Representative Office.

What is the minimum monthly pledge amount?

Generally, the monthly pledge is JA$5,000 or US$100, £100 or CA$100; to participate the in JN Bank Double Up Yuh Savings Promotion, accountholders are required to pledge a minimum monthly amount of JA$25,000 during the promotion period.”
